Why bother with a coach?
Not only does a qualified coach offer you a broad range of experience in how to prepare for multisport events, but they will give you an objective view of your strengths and weaknesses.
A coach can give you a season long plan which is then broken down into smaller chunks (typically 3-4 weeks) which are then sub-divided into weekly cycles. The aims of this long-term view is to allow you to gradually develop to your maximum without over or under training.
Progress will also be monitored with periodic testing sessions.
